Love working with young children? Love music, movement, creativity and having fun? You might be exactly who we’re looking for.

Busy Beats Music is growing, and we’re building a team of warm, energetic educators to bring joyful music and movement experiences to young children throughout the Houston area.

Our teachers are part educator and part entertainer — we call them edu-tainers!

You don’t have to be a professional musician. You do need to genuinely enjoy young children, feel comfortable singing and moving, and be willing to bring energy, warmth and enthusiasm into the classroom.

$25/hour | Part-Time | Paid Training | Curriculum & Materials Provided

WHAT IT’S LIKE TO TEACH WITH BUSY BEATS

This is not your typical preschool teaching job.

Instead of managing one classroom all day, Busy Beats educators travel to our partner schools and lead engaging music and movement experiences for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and young elementary students.

You might spend a class singing on the floor with babies, shaking instruments with toddlers, dancing with preschoolers or helping older children discover rhythm and early musical concepts.

We provide the curriculum, lesson plans, instruments, props, training and ongoing support.

You bring the personality.

Our educators crawl, clap, sing, jump, dance, twirl, laugh and connect — while still delivering a thoughtful, developmentally appropriate educational experience.

YOU MIGHT BE A GREAT BUSY BEATS EDUCATOR IF...

You:

• Genuinely love working with young children

• Have a warm, playful and engaging personality

• Aren’t afraid to sing, dance or be a little silly

• Can confidently lead a group

• Are dependable and punctual

• Communicate well with teachers, families and school leaders

• Enjoy learning and are open to coaching

• Can follow an established curriculum while still making it feel like your own

• Have reliable transportation

• Want meaningful part-time work where you can make a difference

Experience in preschool, childcare, elementary education, music, dance, theatre, children’s ministry, camps or other youth programs is especially valuable.

Musical or early-childhood training is a plus, but it is not the only path to becoming a great Busy Beats educator.

WHEN DO BUSY BEATS EDUCATORS TEACH?

Busy Beats programs take place on weekdays and may include:

• Morning preschool programs, generally between 8:30 AM and noon

• Afternoon Music Clubs, generally between 2:30 PM and 5:00 PM

• Substitute teaching

• Demonstration classes and occasional special events

This is a part-time position with consistent weekday assignments.

You do not need to work every weekday. Assignments are matched based on program needs, your location, your availability and successful completion of training.

Greater weekday flexibility may create opportunities for additional teaching assignments as Busy Beats grows.

• Starting pay: $25/hour

Busy Beats currently serves partner schools throughout Cypress, Katy, Northwest Houston, Spring Branch and surrounding communities.

We consider your home location and reasonable travel distance when coordinating teaching assignments.

WE SET OUR EDUCATORS UP TO SUCCEED

You won’t receive a box of instruments and be expected to figure everything out on your own.

Busy Beats educators receive structured training and support that may include:

• Busy Beats teaching methods and standards

• Age-specific curriculum training

• Classroom management and positive redirection

• Instrument procedures and transitions

• Observation and shadow teaching

• Practice teaching

• Coaching and feedback

• Ongoing curriculum support

Our goal is to help each educator grow into a confident Busy Beats edu-tainer who can walk into a classroom prepared, supported and ready to create an amazing experience for children.

WHAT WE EXPECT IN RETURN

Our school partners trust Busy Beats to send professional, dependable educators into their classrooms.

That means our educators are expected to:

• Arrive prepared and on time

• Confidently lead provided lesson plans

• Create a warm, engaging classroom environment

• Maintain safe instrument and movement procedures

• Use positive, age-appropriate classroom redirection

• Communicate reliably with the Busy Beats team

• Build positive relationships with school staff and families

• Care for Busy Beats instruments and materials

• Participate in required training and coaching

• Follow Busy Beats and partner-school safety requirements

Applicants must also be able to pass required background checks and school-vendor screenings.
